Web based member recruitment and profiling, data warehousing, OLAP analysis of the member population, in-house tools, automated two-way (conversational) messaging, systems integration - interface to third party bulk SMS delivery providers, research clients and electronic mobile top-up aggregators. Carat International - ICS: a bespoke, distributed Windows suite for collection and centralised reporting of planned and actual advertising spend data from 70+ offices in 50+ countries worldwide. Clients for this service include Disney, Reckitt & Colman, Dell, Philips, LVMH, Volkswagen. The suite contains data capture GUI and reporting applications as well as underlying database synchronisation technology and client-facing ActiveX web reporting components. It caters for hierarchical products, brands and locales, variation in local business practices and cost structures, multiple spend and reporting currencies, and client specific exchange rates and calendars. EMAP Business Publications - MediaSelector: a shrink-wrapped Windows application delivering a daily updated, searchable, version of the *NIX based BRAD database to the desks of over 700 personnel in advertising agencies. Containing over 15,000 records detailing newspaper, TV, radio, outdoor, consumer and trade magazine advertising space in the UK, the BRAD data covers rate-cards, contacts, circulation and readership data and production specifications. The rich but sparse data necessitated a hierarchical database format akin to XML. H J Heinz Company - a long term association with the food manufacturing giant at their brand new 2,000 can per minute plant in London. Design and coordination of over 100 courses to train technicians and electrical and mechanical tradesmen to maintain a facility controlled by 40 computers and dozens of machines, instruments, sensors and actuators. GEC-Marconi - a six year liaison with GEC Management College creating, developing and running a new computerised management training exercise - a comprehensive and detailed simulation of an engineering company designed to educate 500 junior and middle managers per annum in general management and board level considerations, and company finances. |
